Our Principles

At Peninsula Montessori, we embrace the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori, grounded in principles that nurture the holistic development of each child. Our approach includes mixed-age groupings, fostering freedom of choice with responsibility, and providing self-teaching materials that encourage independence. We prioritize character development, self-discipline, and a positive self-image, allowing children to progress at their own pace in a richly prepared environment. Through interrelated curriculum and sensory-based learning, we support both cognitive and neuro-muscular development, promoting movement, self-control, and respect for others. Guided by experienced teachers, children learn not only academic skills but also the importance of caring for themselves, their environment, and all life.
